Subaru/IMBA Trail Care Crew leaders Mark Schmidt and Lora Woolner recently completed a swing through their home province of Ontario, Canada. First, Mark and Lora attended an IMBA Epic celebration in Mansfield to build new trail. Next, they headed east to Canada's capital, Ottawa. They worked at the ever-contentious Gatineau Park, the site of numerous mountain bike trail closures over the years. For more info on riding in Ottawa, contact IMBA Sprockids leader and all-around super advocate Dominique LaRocque at .
IMBA advocacy coordinator Dan Vardamis spent a few days in July in Whistler, British Columbia at the launch of Shimano's new Saint freeride component group. The purpose of the trip was to learn more about freeriding and study Whistler's success in order to try and replicate it in the U.S. and around the world. Look for another IMBA Trail News issue dedicated to freeriding solutions soon.
IMBA has appointed two new international representatives. In Canada's Yukon Territory, which received an A- grade in the last IMBA Report Card, Derek Endress from Whitehorse will assume rep duties. You can email Derek at . IMBA is also now represented in Israel by Jack Reardon. Jack can be reached at .
