Big things are brewing in Staten Island, New York. Recentely appointed IMBA New York City metro area rep Matt LeBow is working with park official from Staten Island to create mountain bike trail opportunities in the borough. Pennsylvania's Susquehanna Valley Mountain Bike Association (SAMBA) is playing an important role developing new mountain biking trails at Swatara State Park. SAMBA leaders were involved in the planning of the park, spending extensive hours geo-mapping the area for potential trail routes. The park is currently in the construction phase of the project. Yet more new singletrack in the Keystone state: The York Area Mountain Bike Association (YAMBA) announced that the Goat Trail will open this spring. Local mountain bikers are salivating at the opportunity to ride this trail on York County park land. YAMBA is expanding their partnership with the park by having members participate in an ambassador program.

The Lynn Woods technical trail in Massachusetts is nearing completion and should be ready by the Harpoon MTB Adventure Ride on June 8. With record snowfall this winter, this could be one of the most brutal mud seasons ever seen in the northeast. Make sure to let the trails dry before riding them.
