Construction has begun on a 25-mile extension to the North Karkaghne section of the Ozark Trail System in Missouri. The Gateway Off-Road Cyclists (GORC) is assisting the U.S. Forest Service and the Ozark Trail Association with trail design and construction. The trail will be built with a Sweco 480 Trail Dozer that was purchased with Recreational Trails Program grant money. More info: .

Minnesota Off Road Cyclists (MORC) recently received permission from the city of Inver Grove Heights to build mountain bike trails at Harmon and South Valley Park. MORC is also working with the city of Bloomington to re-route trails in the Minnesota River bottom area. Two sections of this popular riding area are severely eroded and need to be re-built. The re-route will improve the trail's sustainability and increase awareness of MORC's efforts. Visit www.morcmtb.org for more info.

The Greater Houston Off-Road Bicycle Association (GHORBA) is seeking people who have attended an IMBA Trailbuilding School to serve as Memorial Park trail stewards. If you're interested in coordinating improvement and maintenance projects at this park, contact Russell Adams at or Larry Pruitt at .
