Volume 15, Number 5
Winter 2002

As reported in the last issue of ITN, IMBA Trail Consultants Joey Klein and Rich Edwards spent September leading trailwork projects and assessing trails in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The visit was part of a Memorandum of Understanding between Great Britain's largest public land agency - the Forestry Commission - and IMBA.

The next step is establishing solid leadership for IMBA's advocacy efforts in the UK. As this issue goes to press, three U.S. IMBA leaders are meeting with U.K. advocates to establish a solid IMBA presence in Britain. We'll have a full report in the next ITN, but in the meantime check out fresh new slideshows highlighting singletrack in the UK at www.imba.com/international.

Subaru/IMBA Trail Care Crew leaders Mark Schmidt and Lora Woolner recently wrapped an extended visit to Ontario. They taught Trailbuilding Schools in North Bay, Toronto and Port Elgin and also represented IMBA at Canada's largest bike industry trade show.

IMBA has reached the top of the world. The Everest Mountain Bike Club has become IMBA's first club in Nepal. For info about mountain biking at 20,000-plus feet above sea level, email club president Rajkamar Gurung at .
