Pearl Izumi Supports IMBA

Long-time IMBA corporate member Pearl Izumi increased its support of IMBA's National Mountain Bike Patrol (NMBP) to the tune of $4,000 this year. The company supplies patrollers with discounted NMBP-logoed Vagabond jackets. In addition to their support of the NMBP, Pearl Izumi supports IMBA financially, manufactures our signature IMBA socks and prints IMBA info on their clothing hang tags. The company also produces the popular Ben & Jerry's cycling jersey, which raises funds for IMBA's Sprockids program.

IMBA is proud to welcome aboard Above-and-Beyond corporate member, Pacific Cycles. Pacific, one of the largest bicycle companies in the world, makes road, mountain, BMX and cruiser bikes under the Schwinn, GT and Mongoose brands.

Blue Ridge Outdoors Highlights IMBA

Thanks to the folks at Blue Ridge Outdoors Magazine for their ongoing support of IMBA's important work. In 2002, the publication donated more than $7,000 in advertising space to help spread the IMBA message.

Industrial Alliance Pacific Life Prints Sprockids Brochure

Thanks to Industrial Alliance Pacific Life for printing the new IMBA Sprockids brochure. The Canadian-based insurance company produced the brochure as a donation to IMBA' s growing kids cycling program.

Kona Bowling Tournament a Strike

The fifth annual Kona/IMBA Bowling Tournament was held Oct. 7 at Interbike in Las Vegas. The tourney, which has become an after-hours fixture at the world's leading bicycle trade show, attracted more than 300 bowlers to the Orleans Casino raising $9,000 for IMBA. All 72 lanes were used and, as always, the range of bowling attire was perhaps more impressive than the final scores. Many thanks to Above-and-Beyond corporate supporter, Kona, for sponsoring the event.
