Looking for the ultimate mountain biking destination? Italy could be the call. IMBA's Italy rep Mauro Bertolotto has created a network of Mountain Bike Hotels that offer maps, cycling equipment and lodging and meal discounts to IMBA members. If that's not enough to entice you to hop across the Atlantic, perhaps the anticipation of riding 2,000 year-old singletrack will do the trick. For more info email Mauro at .

The IMBA Sprockids program is expanding internationally. The program is already well established in Canada, and has recently been adopted in Finale Ligure, Italy and Edinburgh, Scotland. The newest Sprockids club in Thimphu, Bhutan is part of the Bhutan Mountain Bike Club: Its website www.bhutanmtb.com has some fantastic information about cycling in this Himalayan country.

IMBA board member Tom Clyde was invited by Bicycle South Australia to speak at a major S.A. trail summit in early June. This event, which brought together hikers, horse riders, mountain bikers and land managers was dedicated to creating a Memorandum of Understanding among the three trail user groups and a shared-use trail policy.
