In the 2001 IMBA Mountain Bike Report Card Michigan did very well, ranking in the top 10. We commented that Michigan's advocacy weakness - the "Flat" comment - was "Turf Battles With Horses." Well, after further review we've decided to overturn this comment. The Michigan Mountain Bike Association (MMBA) and the Michigan Horse Council recently established a 10-point agreement to work together to enhance multi-use trail opportunities in the state. Michigan's new "Flat" comment for the 2001 IMBA Report Card is "DNR bans new trails; urban sprawl."
