Bike lock producer Kryptonite has launched a back-to-school promotion that will benefit IMBA. Two of the company's best selling locks are packaged with a water bottle featuring the IMBA logo and an IMBA membership form. Kryptonite will donate a portion of proceeds from the 20,000 lock packages to IMBA. IMBA's National Mountain Bike Patrol program has garnered new corporate support.
Thanks to the following companies who are stepping up their backing of IMBA and the Patrol: Camelbak, Pearl Izumi, Sock Guy, and McKay Insurance Agency.
24 Hours of Adrenalin and Platypus are selling a cool IMBA logo water bottle at events this summer and will send IMBA part of the proceeds.
Also, participants in the Winter Park event can direct $50 of their entry fee to IMBA. Contact Robyn at 905-944-9436 x 101 for details.
Revered frame builder Seven Cycles is now offering free IMBA trial memberships to all its customers. This should add several hundred new members to our ranks this season.
The Ford Escape Texas State Championship Mountain Bike Series celebrated another exciting season by donating $1,000 to IMBA on behalf of team champions Sun & Ski Sports. In addition to the cash, Lone Star state racers contributed more than 3,000 volunteer hours in the Bicycle Sport Shop Paydirt program.
For the second year in a row, Bike Magazine has produced a full-color guide highlighting the IMBA Epic selections. The eight-page special section is bound inside Bike's July issue. More than 200,000 copies will be distributed. Bike is one of four sponsors of the 2001 IMBA Epics program, which is now in its third year. Patagonia, SRAM and Hydrapak are also providing support.
