The Oklahoma Earthbike Fellowship (www.okearthbike.com) has been busy this year, hosting more than a dozen trailwork events. Most recently the group primed the NuDraper Mountain Bike Park for the Red Dirt Rendezvous race.

After six years of persistence, three visits by the Subaru/IMBA Trail Care Crew, and numerous trailwork events, Ohio's COMBO (www.joincombo.org) finally has the support of officials at Alum Creek State Park, near Columbus.

Plans are being laid to improve the park's trail network Cincinnati riders have formed a new advocacy group: CORA, the Cincinnati Off Road Alliance. Their first fundraiser took place in October at suburban Harbin Park. Info: www.harbinparkmtb.com.

The Subaru/IMBA Trail Care Crew No. 3 spent much of the fall in the Midwest. In Missouri they met with volunteers and officials from several agencies including the Missouri Department of Transportation, Missouri State Parks and Missouri Conservation Federation. The crew led a Trailbuilding School in St. Louis.

The Wisconsin Off-Road Bicycle Assoc. (www.WORBA.org) and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources are working together to create new trails at Blue Mound State Park. The past year was spent scouting the park, meeting with officials, and wading through the approval process. Hard work and patience has paid off, and trail construction will begin in the spring.
