In Louisville, Nebraska, (near Omaha), the IMBA-affiliated group THOR (Trails Have Our Respect) helped organize a National Trails Day project at Platte River State Park and logged more than 100 volunteer hours. Relations between bikers and land managers at Platte have never been better. Park officials even bought the crew lunch! To get involved in future projects contact Jesse Petersen 402-867-3322 or Mike Resetar 402-556-6740.

The Ohio Trails Partnership, a coalition of biker, hiker and equestrian groups, has raised more than $27,000 and donated 11,000 volunteer hours to Ohio's trails in the past year. The group presented the Ohio Department of Natural Resources with a ceremonial check at a National Trails Day celebration. Also in Ohio, an online auction hosted by www.single-track.com raised $1,300 for Ohio's IMBA clubs.

In Missouri, the Gateway Off-Road Cyclists (www.geocities.com/gateway_mtb) have good news to report from Matson Hill Park and Tyson Park where officials have given the thumbs up for new singletracks. Thanks to GORC members Sam Mitchell, Frank Schuman, and John Donjoian for their dedicated work.

The Mid-State chapter of the MMBA (www.mmba.org) has helped open a new singletrack in Burchfield County Park, Michigan. The mountain biker-designed trail includes technical ramps and other challenges. Sounds fun!
