Vermont Mountain Bike Patrol
Led by NMBP-certified instructors Travis Cousino and Jenny Hubbard, this Killington area-based group provides on-trail assistance and information to mountain bikers in the riding and skiing mecca and in surrounding areas of central Vermont. Stay at the biker-friendly Cortina Inn and have Travis lead you on one (or more) of the inn's several guided mountain bike tours. Contact Travis at or call 800-451-6108.
Delaware Valley Mountain Bike Patrol, Pennsylvania
This group is forming to protect mountain bike access in the popular Wissahickon Valley Park in Philadelphia (see p. 4). Wissahickon has long provided Philly cyclists with a spectacular singletrack experience in the heart of the city. Avid Wissahickon Park mountain biker Jay Jones has been working closely with the park commission over the winter to develop a two-day patrol training course for early spring. Approval from the park commission is still pending, but Jones is optimistic. To get involved, contact or call 856-616-0153.
Gainesville-SORBA MTB Patrol, Georgia

The main functions of this patrol are assisting land managers through education and assistance to other trail users. Contact or call 770-718-3674.
