On Sunday July 25, 1999, Bob Seminara, a member of the Staten Island Bicycle Association's volunteer mountain bike patrol, suffered a heart-attack and passed away while riding at Chimney Rock Reservation in northern NJ.

Riding with Seminara was fellow SIBA member Kenny Picco, and a friend whom Seminara and Picco were introducing to the sport of mountain biking. The two men began CPR immediately and were soon joined by paramedics with defibrilation equipment, but Seminara never regained a pulse.

Seminara was an IMBA member, a volunteer mountain bike patroller and an avid mountain biker.

IMBA offers our deepest condolences to Seminara's wife and family
