IMBA seeks members' comments on user fees

IMBA's board of directors is seeking comments comments from IMBA members regarding recreational user fees. Please contact IMBA with your thoughts about this important public lands issue no later than June 25.

Recreationists have paid fees to enter national, state and local parks for many years. Today, federal land management agencies are testing the imposition of fees in a wider variety of recreational settings. The Recreation Fee Demo Program is providing information that could lead to implementation of fees for all public lands.

This issue is complex and controversial. IMBA members have already expressed varying opinions. IMBA's board will consider all points of view.
