Land manager seminars to follow

The National Mountain Bike Patrol has scheduled its '99 NMBP Instructor Training Conference for Nov. 5-7 at the Nantahala Outdoor Center near Bryson City, North Carolina. Cost is not final yet but will be around $125, including registration, materials, two nights lodging and all meals.

Participants will learn the skills required of a volunteer mountain bike patroller, and, more importantly, will learn how to start a bike patrol, how to put on a training, and other useful information and insight on running a mountain bike patrol group.

If you're interested in attending, contact NMBP at .com or call 303-545-9011 and ask to be added to the NMBP I.T. Conference list.

Following the NMBP Instructor Course, there will be two, 2-day courses (Tu-Wed, and Wed-Th) for land managers. They will focus on mountain bikes, land managers, and trails. Then, the following weekend, Nov. 13-14, there will be an IMBA Trailbuilding School all at NOC. Contact or call for details or to register.
