The Backcountry Bicycle Trails Club of Seattle, WA, one of IMBA's largest affiliates, is supporting a local user fee project which will require passes ($25 annually) at trailheads on nearby national forests. "BBTC has decided to support the Cle Elum Ranger District because of their support for mountain biking opportunities close to Puget Sound," reported BBTC Treasurer Andy Woods on the club's email listserv. "Two dollars from every trail park pass sold by BBTC goes toward our trail fund. All that money goes straight to buying tools, gravel, wood for bridges and other expenses necessary to maintain your trails in your Puget Sound. Encourage your friends to buy passes from BBTC. You know where the money is going! The trail fund is growing faster than we can spend it, and members and non-members alike find it easy to donate to a fund which has a track record of tangible results on land that we all ride."
