IMBA's new advocacy push -- our Hot Spot List -- is in the making, but we need your input. The purpose of the IMBA Hot Spot project is to improve mountain bike access in 10 geographically diverse locations with a history of access conflict by focusing IMBA's programs, expertise and media attention on them.

Hot Spots will be located in or near a major city where the demand for mountain bike access is high and the availability of trails is limited. Hot Spots will include areas where trails have been closed for the wrong reasons or without adequate consideration of alternatives.

IMBA's goal is to work with our affiliated clubs to make tangible improvements in mountain biking opportunities in each Hot Spot location.

The Hot Spot list will be an ongoing, rotating list of locations needing particular attention. If you would like to nominate a location for the hot spot list, send an email to . Please tell us why you think the area should be designated as a Hot Spot and let us know how to contact you.
