IMBA Seeks Electronic Communications Specialist

The International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) seeks an electronic communications specialist. This job requires at least a 25-hour per week commitment, with the possibility of full-time status. Attendance at weekly meetings with IMBA staff members at the Boulder, Colorado office is required. This position reports to the Director of Communications.
Duties include writing, designing and distributing website content, e-newsletters, advocacy alerts and other electronic communications. Qualifications include outstanding writing ability, and experience with graphic design for web and print applications. Other relevant skills include familiarity with at least basic HTML, and knowledge of data-driven online marketing techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Manage, organize and create engaging web pages for IMBA's websites.
- Meet regularly with department heads and other staff, and integrate their electronic messaging needs into web content.
- Write, edit and produce graphically pleasing eNewsletters, action alerts and other electronic materials.
- Implement new approaches for online marketing strategies to recruit interested constituents, such as e-news subscribers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, journalism, graphic design - or equivalent experience.
- Experience with managing web pages and creating content for web and/or print media.
- Experience interacting with development teams to deliver web-based applications.
- Command of internet-based technologies such as HTML and CSS; familiarity of JavaScript, PHP and MySQL is a plus
- Working knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator
- Experience publishing content in, and developing graphical templates for open-source content management systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of Constituency Relationship Manager platforms such as Convio, CiviCRM, and Salesforce is a plus.
- Exceptional level of organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple tasks.
- Familiarity with IMBA's mission and key programs - or a willingness to learn.
