Kansas - IMBA and NMBP would like to congratulate the Midwest Mountain Bike Patrol on receiving the Community Relations Award at the American Red Cross Annual Meeting and Recognition Celebration. Laurie Steen, Danny Morgan, Stan Gaskill and Ken Miner represented the MMBP.

"This is an excellent example of the positive effects of mountain bikers joining, as a group, for the promotion and continuation of our sport" said MMBP's Ken Miner. "By organizing and demonstrating the positive aspects of mountain biking to the community at large, who as a whole, doesn't understand or appreciate our sport, we can begin to ask for, and expect to receive consideration for issues that are important to us, namely, trails access."
