The International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) seeks a dynamic individual to join the development department at our offices located in Boulder, CO. The Development Coordinator manages IMBA's online store and e-commerce sales of books, clothing, accessories and IMBA branded merchandise. He/she also coordinates strategic business development projects and fund-raising initiatives, including: corporate and retail partnerships, support for major donors, prospect research and proposal writing, and support for the development department. This position reports to the Development Director and works closely with the entire IMBA team to advance the sport of mountain biking worldwide.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordinate E-commerce and IMBA retail sales program (40%)
- Determine product offerings: Research, design and manage orders
- Analyze product performance (sales trends, costs, etc.)
- Work with development team to implement marketing strategy for increasing product sales
- Manage inventory and vendor relationships
- Maintain online store and Convio eCommerce functions
- Assist with creation of member/appeal premium gifts
- Advise National Mountain Bike Patrol Coordinator on product matters
- Coordinate business development and fund raising initiatives(40%)
- Execute major donor renewal campaigns
- Execute major donor special appeal campaigns
- Perform all data entry for major donors and corporate supporters
- Manage process for thanking major donors and corporate supporters
- Manage fulfillment for major donors
- Manage fulfillment and renewals for corporate members including coordination of corporate member e-news and other benefits
- Create and distribute quarterly eNewsletters targeting major donors and corporate supporters
- Coordinate special development print and communications projects
- Manage activation and fulfillment of corporate sponsorship programs
- Identify and solicit new potential corporate members per year
- Perform other duties as assigned by Development Director
- Responsible for achieving annual budget goals
- Execute patrol and dealer membership campaigns
- Coordinate dealer, tradeshow and development events (15%)
- Manage trade shows and membership teams and develop strategic outreach (Interbike, Outdoor Retailer, Sea Otter)
- Manage product sales in conjunction with events
- Monitor effectiveness of all dealer, tradeshow or event based membership campaigns
- Work effectively with membership department staff to align efforts
- Additional responsibilities (5%)
- Assist with communications, marketing and graphic design projects as needed
- Assist with publishing projects as needed
- Answer IMBA telephone at Level 2.
- Contribute to the appearance and organization of common office areas
Required Qualifications:
- Two to three years of fundraising or business development experience, with experience preferred in the areas of e-commerce, corporate development, sponsorship and/or fundraising and membership campaigns.
- Aptitude and interest in promotional products (apparel and accessories) strategy, design and marketing
- College degree in a related field.
- Experience in the bicycle or active sports industry
- Understanding of sponsorships, grant making and membership processes. Successful proposal writing experience preferred.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and strong time-management and organizational skills.
- Strong computer skills with experience with fundraising databases, MS Office, Mac preferred
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service
- The successful candidate will be a self-starter with an energetic personality who is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Our principal projects include the Subaru/IMBA Trail Care Crew, the National Mountain Bike Patrol, IMBA Trailbuilding Schools, National Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day, IMBA Epic Rides , IMBA Trail Solutions Program, various grantmaking programs, and a variety of educational efforts that comprise international, national, regional, state and local efforts.
