Southern California has great riding, healthy mountain bike clubs, a booming bicycle industry and increasingly favorable land use policies. However, region-wide organization of mountain bike clubs and advocates could use a boost. So on June 7, Shimano and IMBA California will host a meeting to bolster cooperative efforts in SoCal.
Attendees will network with IMBA state representatives, industry leaders and club advocates. Together we can support one another's efforts to build new singletrack trails and a provide a greater diversity of mountain bike opportunities.
When: June 7, 2008
Where: Shimano Headquarters in Irvine, CA
Time: 10am - 4pm

- Perspectives on mountain bike advocacy, led by Kozo Shimano
- Potential for SoCal mountain bike parks
- Update on Wilderness legislation
- State Park trails initiative
- Update on relationships with equestrian community
- Forest Service route designation

- IMBA California report
