IMBA Events at Sea Otter Classic to Highlight California Campaign

Several of IMBA's corporate supporters will participate in the Sea Otter Classic bike festival in April (12-14). A slew of events during the festival will shine a spotlight on IMBA's California Campaign, a statewide drive to bring improved riding opportunities to the Golden State.

The California Campaign kicked off last year with a generous grant from Specialized, and aims to build on a successful track record in 2007.

Cali4ornia Happy Hour (April 14)

CrankBrothers and IMBA invite you to a special happy hour (5:50-7:30 pm) celebrating IMBA California. Indulge with free hors d'oeurves, hops, a CrankBrothers art gallery and a silent auction. Between the Tape World Premiere: (April 13)

FOX Racing Shox , Troy Lee Designs and Decline magazine will host the premiere of Distinction Productions' latest film, Between the Tape. Kicking off at 8 pm, the film documents the 2006 World Cup Series of downhill mountain bike racing. It features the 2006 World Championships and provides an intense and personal look at the sport. Entry to the event is $5, with all proceeds going to IMBA.

April Advocacy Summits (April 13 and April 28)

Two California advocacy summits, hosted by IMBA California and Camelbak, will focus on California access hotspots, a recently proposed Wilderness bill, trail opportunities in state parks and other issues.

The first will be held on April 13, during the Sea Otter Classic, on the grounds of the nearby Laguna Seca Recreation Area (Campground B; 4-7 pm). Dinner hosted by Camelbak. Please RSVP to .
