IMBA continues to expand its partnership with the Bureau of Land Management. Last December, IMBA executive director Tim Blumenthal went mountain biking and rock climbing with BLM acting director Tom Fry near Las Vegas.

In February, IMBA advocacy director Jen Lamb continued her work as a member of the National Trails Training Partnership - a multi-agency effort to create a comprehensive website of helpful trail management information. Later this year, BLM field managers from across the West will be invited to attend a special IMBA Trailbuilding School for BLM managers, conducted by one of our Subaru/IMBA Trail Care Crews.

IMBA and the BLM are working to develop a new Assistance Agreement that will detail the partnership between IMBA and the agency. This new document will outline mutual IMBA-BLM projects for the coming years, and reiterate the BLM's support for mountain biking.
