IMBA affiliated clubs will join John Gowans, IMBA's British Columbia provincial rep at a shared booth at the Outdoor Adventure Show in Vancouver, BC over the weekend of February 15-17, 2002.

The clubs are attending the show to publicize and gain support for their advocacy work with the BC outdoor community. We welcome you to visit the show and learn more about advocacy and mountain bike access in British Columbia, Canada.

The Outdoor Adventure Show promotes a number of fun mountain bike events to kick your 2002 season off right. The activities include:

The Arriba Bike Zone

The industry's top retailers, manufacturers, associations and more will be on hand with the latest products and services to make your 2002 riding season the sweetest ever. Throughout the weekend there will also be a ton of events where you can show your stuff. Test your technical riding prowess on the Indoor North Shore racecourse or if 100% pure dirt is more your passion, duke it out on the indoor dirt track on your bmx or mountain bike. No matter what, how, where or why you ride, the Arriba Bike Zone at the Coors Light Outdoor Adventure Show is where it's at and the place to be February 15 - 17, 2002!

Mavericks Indoor North Shore

Once again our unique, indoor course will be designed by "Dangerous Dan" Cowan. His signature stunts combined with the two up race format offers an exciting race for both riders and spectators. The course will provide a challenging race for all abilities so if you're a beginner you can get a taste of the Shore without having to do six footers or if you're a more experienced rider, be ready to draw on that experience because you will need it! Prepare to ride the best of the North Shore indoors!

AKA King of Bikes

Do you have what it takes to be "King of Bikes"? New for 2002, this competition will test riders to the limit on our indoor dirt track designed by Kevin O'Brien. The challenging course will have tons of jumps and berms providing lots of opportunity for riders to catch some air and show their stuff. King of Bikes will have two categories: bmx and mountain bike. Prizes will be awarded to the top finishers in each category but those who race both bmx and mountain bike will have their finishing places combined. The rider with the lowest combined finishing place wins the title "King of Bikes".

Advil Big Air Invitational and Show

Friday night will see some of Vancouver's best riders go head to head in our new Advil Big Air Invitational. Six bmx'ers and six mountain bikers will be putting it all on the line in hopes of being judged the best of the big air. Saturday and Sunday will feature four of these riders in the Advil Big Air Show. They'll be wowing the crowd with their daring moves and unequaled style.

Ryan Leech Pro Trials Show

Once again Norco pro rider Ryan Leech will be showing why he's one of the best Trials riders in the world. Be one of the many awestruck onlookers as you watch Leech maneuver his bike from one obstacle to the next with a smoothness and ease that seems to defy the laws of gravity!
