IMBA Names New National Mountain Bike Patrol Coordinator

Kevin Stein, who has worked in the membership department of the International Mountain Bicycling Association since March '99, is now coordinating IMBA's National Mountain Bike Patrol program. The NMBP supports mountain bike patrol work throughout North America, Europe and Japan. National Mountain Bike Patrol affiliates assist trail visitors and government officials and help preserve trails and trail access.

Jon Alegranti, coordinator of the National Mountain Bike Patrol since '97, continues as senior advisor to the program. Alegranti now directs the Subaru/IMBA Trail Care Crew-IMBA's flagship field advocacy effort that is beginning its fifth year.

IMBA's Mountain Bike Patrol program will establish its first Italian affiliate in March, following a March 10-11 training conference in the Mediterranean coast town of Finale Ligure.
