The International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) and the National Parks and Conservation Association (NPCA) is asking all mountain bikers nationwide to help shape a model trails and bike community around Jackson, Wyoming and Grand Teton National Park. Currently the area is a popular cycling destination but could also turn into a model pathway and trails community with your help.

Grand Teton National Park is asking for public comments on their Grand Teton Transportation Plan by August 1.

IMBA and NPCA ask you to write and support an "Improved" Alternative 4 that will create a complete pathway system from the Town of Jackson to Colter Bay and Teton Village to Moose, about 50 miles of continuous pathways and enhanced access to more than 40 miles of dirt roads, some with near singletrack quality. IMBA also suggests you ask the Park to consider building or opening future singletrack (narrow trail) access in the plan where appropriate and in accordance with IMBA's recent partnership agreement with the National Park Service.

To learn more about the plan and to comment use NPCA's easy online form.
