The following is an open invitation to all the members of the Toronto Trails community to a dedication ceremony at the Loblaws trailhead at #11 Redway road.
As many of you know, one of the original members of our trail building teams, Thomas Hauser, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer which he fought while continuing to dedicate his time and efforts to sustainable trail construction in Crothers Woods. His dedication to the project was an inspiration to us all and his contributions reflect a passion we all share for the area.
On December 29th at 10:00am we will be holding a dedication ceremony in his honour at the new Loblaws trailhead as some of his relatives will be in Toronto from Australia for the holidays visiting his wife Sherry. A plaque will be installed at the trailhead recognizing his involvement and commitment to Crothers Woods and we would like to use the occasion to express our appreciation to Thomas' wife and family.
We will be meeting at the trailhead at 10:00am. We will say a few words of appreciation around 10:15 followed by the installation of a mural on the kiosk painted by local artist Brian J. Harvey.
Everyone is welcome to attend as it will be a celebration of all of our efforts to continue to make Crothers Woods a special destination.
